Blogging is about more than just putting your thoughts on the web. It's about connecting with and hearing from anyone who reads your work. Blogger Comments let anyone, anywhere, offer feedback on your posts. You can choose whether you want to allow comments on a post-by-post basis, and you can delete comments you don't like.

Posterous is a very easy blogging platform that started on May 2008 and is basically used for microblogging. Each Space can be customized with privacy settings, dozens of professional themes, and custom domains. You can set each Space to public or private. Public Spaces can be accessed by anyone, and private Spaces are only seen by who you invite. Posterous takes away all the hassle of sharing online, automatically re-sizing and optimizing your photos and videos. To avoid social media overload, public Spaces can autopost to other popular social media sites. You also can publish instantly to your Posterous Space with it's new iPhone or Android mobile app.

Cloudworks is being developed by the Institute of Educational Technology at The Open University. It is part of the Open University Learning Design Initiative (OULDI) project and is funded by both the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC) and The Open University.

Blogs provide a communication space that teachers can use with students whenever there is a curriculum need to develop writing, share ideas and reflect on work being undertaken in the classroom.
From an education perspective the availability and ease of use of blogging software makes creating blogs a viable classroom activity and a mean for teachers to communicate with their students, the parents or other teachers.
